Description

The D-Link AirPro DWL-5000AP connects computers equipped with 802.11a wireless adapters in a wireless local area network. A typical installation in the home involves connecting the DWL-5000AP to a Residential Gateway to share a broadband connection - Cable or DSL - to computers with installed 802.11a wireless adapters. In a business environment, the DWL-5000AP is installed to extend the ""wired"" network to areas such as a warehouse, conference room, or other venue where cable installation maybe difficult to implement. The D-Link AirPro DWL-5000AP provides the convenience of wireless networking with connection speeds of up to 72 Mbps. The DWL-5000AP provides the user with a very capable wireless network for large file transfers and running applications that require graphics, JPEGs, or videos from a server on the network.
